What this amendment would do

SA 4366, submitted by Mr. Schmitt, is an amendment to amendment SA 4308, which is proposed for bill H.R. 6644. This bill is intended to increase the supply of housing in America and for other purposes.

The purpose of this amendment is to change section 901(a)(2)(J) by adding language to include facilities that are intended and operated to provide residential care to:

Individuals with disabilities (as defined in section 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990).
Individuals with developmental disabilities (as defined in section 102 of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000).
