What this amendment would do

SA 4353, submitted by Mrs. BRITT, aims to change the following in H.R. 4553:

  • It strikes everything after the enacting clause and replaces it with new sections.

  • Section 101 changes the date in section 106 (3) of the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2026 (division A of Public Law 119-37) to March 27, 2026.

  • Section 102 states that for the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2026 (division A of Public Law 119-37), the time covered includes the period starting on or about February 14, 2026, when there was a lapse in appropriations.
