S.Amdt. 4344

SA 4344, submitted by Mr. Cruz, is an amendment to amendment SA 4308 for bill H.R. 6644, which is a bill aimed at increasing the housing supply in America.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a limitation on how funds are used. It aims to change the bill by requiring the following:

• Eligible entities cannot have funds obligated or expended unless they provide an annual certification to the Secretary.
• This certification must prove that the total property tax revenues collected by the entity in the most recent fiscal year did not grow by more than 2 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
