What this amendment would do
Mrs. Shaheen submitted amendment numbered SA 430, which is intended to be proposed for the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 congressional budget.
Purpose and Changes
The purpose of this amendment is to add a reserve fund relating to ensuring health care for members of the Armed Forces.
The amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation relating to ensuring that members of the Armed Forces can travel freely to receive medical care.
The changes or actions included for this purpose may involve restoring paragraph 033013 of the Joint Travel Regulations, as it was in effect on January 19, 2025, or taking other actions to support and fund travel by members for medical care, by the amounts provided in such legislation.
