What this amendment would do

Mrs. Shaheen submitted amendment SA 429 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 congressional budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to health care parity for members of the Armed Forces under the TRICARE program.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to maintaining health care parity for members of the Armed Forces covered under the TRICARE program. This may include ensuring access to reproductive health care, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
