S.Amdt. 428

Mrs. Shaheen submitted amendment SA 428 to be proposed for the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and through fiscal year 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to lowering energy costs and enhancing grid reliability at the end of title III.

The amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation relating to lowering energy costs and enhancing electrical grid reliability through energy efficient building construction and retrofits, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
