What this amendment would do

SA 4095, submitted by Mr. DURBIN, aims to add a section to H.R. 4016 (the Department of Defense appropriations bill for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026).

The purpose of this amendment is to prohibit the use of funds from this Act or any prior Act for the direct costs of:

  • Deporting or repatriating any individual from the United States to another country, whether voluntary or involuntary.

  • Transferring any individual from the United States to United States Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, for removal, imprisonment, or detention.
