S.Amdt. 4075

SA 4075, submitted by Mr. Whitehouse, is an amendment to be proposed to amendment SA 3951 and bill H.R. 4016.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Commissioner of Social Security to do the following:

• Conduct a review of how common benefit cliffs are in the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) programs.

• Identify administrative flexibilities that are already authorized to handle these benefit cliffs.

• Identify if any additional authority from Congress is required to address these benefit cliffs.

• Find strategies to give earlier notification to people receiving benefits who are at risk of hitting these benefit cliffs.
