What this amendment would do
SA 4054, submitted by Mr. Merkley, is an amendment to bill H.R. 4016. The purpose of this amendment is to make a wildfire funding adjustment.
It aims to change the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 by adding the following:
- Changing the date from 2027 to 2037.
- Adding specific funding amounts for fiscal years 2028 through 2037, ranging from $4,610,000,000 in 2028 to $7,150,000,000 in 2037.
