What this amendment would do
- Purpose of the amendment: It sets up a deficit-neutral reserve fund for legislation related to foster care.
- What it aims to change or add: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This is for legislation preventing the loss and abuse of foster children by strengthening Federal oversight of State foster care programs, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
