What this amendment would do

SA 4041, submitted by Mr. REED, is an amendment to bill H.R. 4016, which handles appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and other purposes.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop any funds from being spent on the following:

  • Expenses for the procurement of statues or activities described in Executive Order 13934 (building and rebuilding monuments to American heroes).

  • Activities described in Executive Order 13978 (building the National Garden of American Heroes).

  • Activities described in Executive Order 14189 (celebrating America's birthday).
