What this amendment would do

Ms. Cantwell submitted amendment SA 404, which is intended to be proposed for the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 congressional budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to funding for home and community-based care services at the end of title III.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These changes can be made for legislation relating to supporting Federal or State programs that help people transition from institutional care to home and community-based settings, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
