What this amendment would do

SA 4038, also known as the "Anti-Cash Grab Act," is an amendment submitted by Mr. Heinrich. It is intended to be proposed to amendment SA 3951 and bill H.R. 4016, which deals with appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026.

The purpose of this amendment is to:

  • Repeal Section 213 of division C of the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026 (Public Law 119-37).

  • Restore section 10 of the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 2005 (2 U.S.C. 6628).
