What this amendment would do

SA 4036, submitted by Mr. Merkley, is an amendment to bill H.R. 4016, which deals with appropriations for the Department of Defense for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and other purposes.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section that prohibits the use of funds from this Act or any other Act to investigate third parties related to Jeffrey Epstein based on their affiliations with or membership in any political party.
