What this amendment would do

SA 3988, submitted by Mr. Sheehy, is an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 3951 and bill H.R. 4016.

The purpose of this amendment is to add specific language to the Department of Agriculture section of the bill under the Forest Service administrative provisions.

It aims to change the bill by adding a requirement that certain actions continue until:

  • The briefing requirements in the paragraph called Wildland Fire Consolidation are satisfied.

  • The required report from that paragraph is sent to the following committees:

    • Committee on Appropriations of the Senate.
    • Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.
    • Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate.
    • Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives.
    • Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry of the Senate.
    • Committee on Agriculture of the House of Representatives.
