What this amendment would do

This amendment, submitted by Mr. Gallego and Mr. Kelly, aims to add a section to title IV of division C of bill H.R. 4016.

The purpose is to provide funding for recovery from the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fires.

The amendment proposes the following appropriations:

  • $160,000,000 to the Forest Service for recovery in the Kaibab National Forest.
  • $600,000,000 to the National Park Service for recovery in Grand Canyon National Park.

These funds are designated by Congress as being for emergency requirements.
