What this amendment would do

Mr. Peters submitted amendment SA 387 to the concurrent resolution on the budget for the United States Government. The purpose of this amendment is to add a reserve fund relating to the Federal Government fulfilling its responsibility to pay small businesses for work performed under contract.

What it Aims to Change or Add

  • It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows for adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to ensuring that small businesses that performed work under contract for the Federal Government are timely paid for work performed.

  • It specifically includes work performed prior to the funding freeze by the President on January 24, 2025.
