What this amendment would do

Mr. King submitted amendment SA 363 to the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2025 through fiscal year 2034. The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to expanding access to health care for rural veterans at the end of title III.

What It Aims to Change or Add

The amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to veterans health care. This can include legislation that expands access to rural health care providers, community-based outpatient clinics, or Vet Centers in rural areas inside the United States. These revisions and adjustments can be made by the amounts provided in such legislation, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
