What this amendment would do

Mr. Welch submitted the amendment, known as SA 349, to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal years 2025 through 2034 budget.

Purpose of the Amendment

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund related to prohibiting the reduction or elimination of funding for rural referral centers.

What It Aims to Change or Add

The amendment aims to add a new section to title III that allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These adjustments can be made for legislation relating to prohibiting the reduction or elimination of funding for rural referral centers, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
