What this amendment would do

SA 3146, submitted by Mr. Booker and Mr. Tuberville, aims to change funding allocations within the "rural water and waste disposal program account" under the "Rural Utilities Service" in division B of bill H.R. 3944.

The amendment seeks to add the following:

  • $20,000,000 for the rural utilities program, with at least $10,000,000 dedicated to subgrants for eligible individuals to construct, refurbish, and service individually owned household decentralized wastewater systems.

  • $225,400,000 for grants pursuant to section 306(a)(2)(a) of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act.
