What this amendment would do

This amendment, submitted by Mr. Durbin, aims to change specific funding amounts for the Department of Veterans Affairs within bill H.R. 3944.

The amendment proposes the following changes:

  • Construction, minor projects: Sets the amount at $232,000,000. Out of this, $152,000,000 stays available until September 30, 2030, and $80,000,000 stays available until it is spent.

  • Grants for construction of state extended care facilities: Sets the amount at $398,000,000.

  • Grants for construction of veterans cemeteries: Sets the amount at $310,000,000.
