The amendment seeks to add a reporting requirement regarding clinical trials facilitated or funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs that were disrupted, suspended, or cancelled since January 20, 2025. Specifically, the report must include:

• Details of the trials that were cancelled, suspended, or disrupted.
• Estimated number of veterans enrolled in or participating in those trials.
• Trials affected by staff terminations or researchers using voluntary early retirement or deferred resignation programs.
• Staff members who were suspended or terminated because a trial was disrupted, suspended, or cancelled.
• Costs incurred by the Department, including the money spent to restart trials that were disrupted or suspended.
