What this amendment would do

SA 3047, submitted by Ms. Hirono, aims to add a new section to title II of bill H.R. 3944.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide a report to Congress within 60 days of the Act's enactment. This report must detail all fund reprogrammings or reallocations within the Department of Veterans Affairs that happened since January 20, 2025.

The report must include the following details:

  • The amount and account where funds were taken from.
  • The amount and account where funds were moved to.
  • The Department office that approved the action.
