What this amendment would do

SA 3014, submitted by Ms. Hirono, aims to add a new section to title II of division A of bill H.R. 3944.

The purpose of this amendment is to require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide a report to Congress within 60 days of the Act's enactment. This report must detail all funds within the Department of Veterans Affairs that were reprogrammed or reallocated since January 20, 2025.

The report must include the following:

  • The amount and account where funds were taken from.
  • The amount and account where funds were moved to.
  • The Department office that approved the action.
