What this amendment would do

SA 3011, submitted by Mr. Warnock, is an amendment to SA 2976, which is proposed for bill H.R. 3944. This bill deals with appropriations for military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section to title I of division A that prohibits the use of funds to change the name of any Department of Defense asset in the State of Georgia if that name was adopted by the commission established under section 370(b) of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021.
