What this amendment would do

SA 3004, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to add a limitation on how funds are used within title II of bill H.R. 3944.

The purpose of this amendment is to stop funds from being used to cancel any contract worth more than $10,000,000 unless the Secretary of Veterans Affairs does the following:

  • Provides advance notification to the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
  • Provides advance notification to the House Committee on Appropriations and the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
  • Submits a written explanation of the contingency plans to replace the service.
