What this amendment would do

SA 2888, submitted by Mr. Booker, is an amendment to SA 2853 (proposed by Mr. Thune for Mr. Schmitt) regarding bill H.R. 4.

The purpose of this amendment is to change the amount of rescinded budget authority on page 6, line 16. Specifically, it aims to:

Strike the amount of $496,000,000 to be rescinded.
Insert that $200,000,000 are rescinded.
Add a provision stating that at least $200,000,000 of unobligated funds from the Act must stay available for assistance to Sudan.
