What this amendment would do

Mr. King submitted amendment SA 262 to the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

What the Amendment Aims to Change or Add

  • Creates a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to maintenance at the end of title III.

  • Gives authority to the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

  • Applies to legislation relating to maintenance, which may include maintenance and repairs to Coast Guard installations, including remote duty stations.

  • Requires that the legislation would not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
