What this amendment would do

Mr. King submitted amendment numbered SA 260. The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to living marine resources to the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2025.

How It Works

The amendment allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to change budget allocations and make adjustments for legislation related to living marine resources. This can include Coast Guard activities for living marine resources inspections and enforcement matters. To do this, the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
