What this amendment would do
As folks keeping an eye out for the everyday people, we need to know what our elected officials are trying to do with our laws. Mr. Tuberville submitted amendment SA 2343 to a bill about payment stablecoins (S. 1582).
The purpose of this amendment is to add a specific rule regarding foreign payment stablecoin issuers. It aims to change the bill by requiring that certain countries do not have a controlling interest of 20 percent or more in a foreign payment stablecoin issuer.
