What this amendment would do

MR. WARNOCK submitted SA 229, which aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund to the concurrent resolution.

The purpose of this amendment is to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

This can happen for legislation relating to prioritizing investments in chronic disease prevention through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
