What It Changes

The amendment adds payment stablecoins to the list of things officials must report under section 13104 of title 5, United States Code.
Officials will have to report the identity and category of value for any payment stablecoin they held during the past calendar year if it had a fair market value exceeding $1,000 at the close of that year.
Reporting is not required for exchanging payment stablecoins for goods and services.
