What this amendment would do

Mr. Durbin submitted amendment SA 2245 to the bill S. 1582, which is designed to provide for the regulation of payment stablecoins.

The amendment aims to change section 4(a)(1)(B)(i) by striking ; and and inserting a semicolon.

Additionally, the amendment aims to add a new requirement at the end of section 4(a)(1)(B). This new addition directs that the rules must provide for fee limitations associated with purchasing or redeeming the payment stablecoins.
