S.Amdt. 144

Mr. Reed submitted amendment SA 144 to the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a reserve fund relating to oceanic research and exploration at the end of title III of the budget resolution.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These adjustments can be made for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to oceanic research and exploration supported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The changes can include investments in vessels, shoreside facilities, laboratories, personnel, or research partnerships, by the amounts provided in such legislation for those purposes.
