What this amendment would do
Mr. Blumenthal submitted amendment SA 1227 to the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.
Purpose and Changes
-
Add a deficit-neutral reserve fund: The amendment adds a new section to the end of title III relating to the implementation of the Coast Guard's Accountability and Transparency Review Report.
-
Allow budget revisions: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
Target specific improvements: These revisions and adjustments can be made for legislation relating to sexual misconduct prevention, accountability, investigations, and victim recovery improvements in the Coast Guard.
