What this amendment would do

This is amendment SA 1215, submitted by Ms. Hassan. The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting women's access to abortion to the concurrent resolution.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to protecting women's access to abortion.

  • The changes apply to bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports.
  • The legislation must not increase the deficit over the total fiscal years of 2025 through 2029 or 2025 through 2034.
