What this amendment would do

This amendment was submitted by Ms. Warren. Its purpose is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to prohibitions with respect to Tether, which the text notes has been connected to financial crimes.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These changes can be made for legislation relating to prohibiting any listing of, trading of, or transacting directly or indirectly with Tether in the United States or by any U.S. person. This applies as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
