What this amendment would do
MR. KENNEDY submitted amendment numbered 1164 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7. The purpose of this amendment is to prohibit the use of green technologies by the Federal Government if any component part was manufactured in China, Russia, or another country of concern.
To make this happen, the amendment aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation relating to prohibiting the use of green technologies by the Federal Government if any component part was manufactured in China, Russia, or another country of concern, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 or the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
