What this amendment would do
Mr. Coons submitted amendment SA 110 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to lowering the price of eggs for American consumers at the end of title III.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This can be done for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to lowering the price of eggs for American consumers.
The changes may include reversing cuts to the critical programs and personnel responsible for efforts to monitor and respond to outbreaks of avian influenza, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
