What this amendment would do

MR. BOOKER submitted amendment numbered SA 1092, which was ordered to lie on the table.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to strengthening service in the military at the end of title III of the concurrent resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to change allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

  • These adjustments are for legislation relating to strengthening service in the United States Armed Forces, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.

  • The legislation may include rules to ensure that no individual who meets established physical, mental, or moral fitness standards may be denied the opportunity to serve in the Armed Forces based on race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or other irrelevant factors.
