What this amendment would do

Ms. Warren submitted amendment SA 1077 to the concurrent resolution for the federal budget for fiscal year 2025.

  • The amendment adds a new section to title III that creates a deficit-neutral reserve fund.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and pay-as-you-go ledgers for legislation relating to prohibiting the Office of Management and Budget from interfering with the supervision, regulation, budget, and other activities of independent financial regulators.

  • To use this fund, the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
