What this amendment would do

  • Ms. Murkowski submitted SA 1024 as an amendment to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.

  • The purpose is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to the expedited procurement, certification, and deployment of non-Federal weather observing systems to improve aviation safety in rural, remote, and underserved areas.

  • It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for related legislation.

  • These adjustments apply as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
