What this amendment would do
Mr. Kennedy submitted this amendment, known as the Empowering Immigration Courts Act, to be added to the end of the bill S. 5.
- The amendment aims to give immigration judges the authority to sanction any conduct constituting contempt of the judge's authority by fine, in accordance with section 401 of title 18, United States Code.
