What this amendment would do
Mr. Durbin, alongside Mr. Sanders, submitted an amendment intended for the bill S. 5. The purpose of this amendment is to add a nondisplacement requirement for United States workers at the end of the bill.
To achieve this, the amendment changes section 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act by inserting the phrase "will not displace United States workers capable of performing such occupations and" right after "the intending employer".
