What this amendment would do

Mrs. Shaheen submitted this amendment to be proposed to the bill S. 5. Common sense tells us that when our elected officials work on border security, we need to know what they are trying to change.

What It Aims to Change or Add

Deployment of border security technology: The amendment adds a new section to the end of the bill, labeled SEC. 4.
Action required: It requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to ensure that the appropriate amount of border security technology is piloted, tested, and deployed along both the northern and southern borders of the United States.
